Troubleshooting Guide
You should conduct these checks prior to contacting a Eco Solar Tech technician if you have any problems with your solar PV system. This provides us with a quicker diagnosis and resolution of problems, so we can get your system up and running as soon as possible.
Check the Generation Meter
Is the light flashing red?
It is possible that your solar panel system is not producing electricity to its full capacity. This could be due to degraded panels, the optimiser (if installed), faulty wiring, or a problem with the inverter.
Is the light solid red?
When the system is solid red, it is generating power but not power. This could be the result of the inverter.
No light on at all? (display blank)
Check the fuses in the consumer unit
There is a chance that one of the fuses has tripped and you will have to reset it. You should check your consumer unit (fuse box) to ensure that all fuses are in the on position.
Please take note of the generation meter reading
Check Isolator Switches
Make sure the isolator switches are both in the ‘on’ position if you can easily reach them.
Check the Inverter
You will need to note any error codes on the control panel as well as the inverter’s make, model, and serial number (found on the installation paperwork) as well.
